Internships
Internships provide an opportunity for the student to get realistic working experience and gain an appreciation for the types of careers that are possible in forensics. Internships can also begin the process of networking with working forensic scientists.
Although student internships occur mainly in forensic laboratories in New York State, students have interned in Washington D.C., Philadelphia, and Ontario, Canada.
Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental are required, so the student may make an appointment with the instructor any time after their junior year and when they are on their way to fulfilling the prerequisites.
